Social Media Manager

  • Remote, Hybrid

Job description

Job Vision

FM is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of social media across our family of brands. This role is responsible for helping Musicbed, Filmsupply, and Stills show up with clarity, consistency, taste, and momentum across the channels where our creative community spends time.

This is not a role built around becoming the face of the brand. It is a strategy and execution role for someone who understands how to shape a point of view, build community, translate brand priorities into compelling social content, and use social platforms to create meaningful connections with filmmakers, photographers, artists, agencies, brands, and creative teams.

The ideal candidate is both creative and analytical. You understand platform behavior, cultural trends, content performance, and brand voice. You can build a calendar, write strong copy, partner with creative teams, identify opportunities, and keep work moving without losing sight of the larger strategy. You care deeply about quality, but you also know how to move quickly, test ideas, and learn from the results.

This role requires strong ownership, excellent communication, and a high level of taste. You will be a member of the Marketing team, but work cross-functionally with the Creative, Content, and Sales teams to ensure our social presence supports brand awareness, community engagement, campaign priorities, artist and filmmaker relationships, and long-term business goals.

Who You Are

You are a social-first marketer with strong creative instincts and a clear understanding of how brands build trust online. You know the difference between posting content and building a presence. You are organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple brands, channels, campaigns, and stakeholders at once.

You are energized by creative communities and understand the worlds of filmmaking, photography, music, advertising, and digital storytelling. You are not chasing trends for the sake of trends; you know how to evaluate what fits the brand, what serves the audience, and what has the potential to move the business forward.

You bring structure to creative work. You can turn business priorities into a social plan, translate campaigns into platform-specific content, and keep teams aligned around what is publishing, why it matters, and how it is performing.
